Whether you’ve been practicing estate planning law for two decades or two years, How an Ordinary Lawyer Creates and Sustains an Extraordinary Client Care Program will show you how to escape the trap of commoditization and become the trusted family advisor who is valued and respected by clients.

In 1990, Vinnie Bonazzoli established his solo practice, now the Family Estate Planning Law Group, determined to create processes and systems to keep estate plans up-to-date and promote regular communication with clients. Despite all of his best efforts, he realized he’d approached the problem of providing the best possible client care in the wrong way.

Keeping documents up-to-date, or pressing clients to return for document updates wasn’t the problem. It was helping clients to fully understand the value of aligning the assets they owned with their estate plan. This revolutionized the way he approached his practice. While quality estate planning documents are a necessary part of any estate plan, his focus shifted to educating clients on the impact of asset ownership on their plan.

At the heart of a client care program is an on-going relationship with family members that ensures that they understand what needs to happen so that their estate plan achieves what was planned. The most elegantly prepared wills and trusts are worthless if accounts are not properly funded, titled or otherwise aligned with the estate plan.

As the success of his approach grew, Vinnie received numerous inquiries from other estate planners about his client care program. Other firms wanted to know how he’d created such a program, especially one so popular with clients, so he decided to share what he’d learned in a book.

How An Ordinary Lawyer Creates and Sustains an Extraordinary Client Care Program was written to help estate planning lawyers who wish to have closer relationships with their clients, want to build recurring revenue in their firms, take care of families and, ultimately, to transform estate planning from a one-time transaction to a lifelong, satisfying relationship-based model.

If you’re interested in learning how to create a customized, profitable and sustainable client care program, How An Ordinary Lawyer Creates and Sustains an Extraordinary Client Care Program is the first step on the right path to success.
